Biography

I am a geographer by training, with a focus on development studies and social-ecological systems research, in particular high mountain land use and ecosystem services research. I have more than three years of working experience in the field of German development cooperation. As a policy advisor with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), I was concerned with issues such as agricultural policy, food security, rural development, and smallholder market integration. As a research associate and PhD candidate within the TransRe Project I am responsible for a social network perspective on rural resilience to environmental risks.
